June 10, 2016 – Shimmer is pleased to announce that it plans to release its most advanced version of Consensys (Consensys V1.0) by the end of Q3, 2016. This release will comprise two versions: ConsensysBASIC, a free version that provides basic functionality for collecting data from Shimmer sensor, and ConsensysPRO, an upgraded version of our software with optional modules to provide additional features. ConsensysPRO will become our flagship software which we plan to continue to enhance with new features and new hardware.
To support our continued software development, we will be charging for ConsensysPRO and optional add-ons. We expect to be able to supply ConsensysBASIC without charge for the foreseeable future. We will start to phase out previous versions of Consensys and other software. Consensys V0.4.4 will cease to be available for download on October 1, 2016. We will cease to provide technical support to Consensys V0.4.4 as of December 31, 2016. All current users may continue to use this current version.
