Job Summary

Work as part of an Engineering team in a fast-paced environment delivering support for Shimmers Products and Test Engineering for Shimmers Products in multitudes of fields such as biomedical, biomechanics and neuro-marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day customer support for our world-wide customer base.

• Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and resolve their technical issues.

• Work within the engineering team in supporting Shimmers products and APIs, ensuring high performance and an ultra-usable user experience.

• Monitor customer’s cloud deployments for any foreseen, or current, issues and work with engineers to ensure resolutions are implemented.

• Contribute ideas for continually improving the team's productivity and job enjoyment.

• Contribute ideas/methods for reducing customer support time.

• Work within an Agile development environment and actively participate in Sprint reviews.

• Collaborate with peers on technical design, work estimation and implementation of new features.

Qualifications, Education & Previous Experience Requirements

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience.

• A disciplined, methodical, minimalist approach to testing software components.

• Practical experience with formal test methods.

• Good communication skills, both written and oral and able to communicate to all levels and functions throughout the organisation.

• Customer interaction.

Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

• Experience managing data in a CRM system.

• Experience with project management software such as Jira.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, e.g., AWS.

• Demonstrable experience in the use of one or more of the following programming languages: Java, C#, C.

• Working experience with Eclipse and/or Visual Studio.
