Shimmer ECGmd Kit

Upon release, Shimmer ECGmd will become Shimmer's first wireless CE Certified, Class IIa medical device, incorporating a 5 Wire,4 lead Holter monitor electrocardiograph (ECG) designed for medical professionals, medical researchers or system integrators for incorporation into their final end products. In keeping with all Shimmer products, the ECGmd is one of the slimmest hardest wearing wearable sensors created to date that is built on 8 years of wearable sensors experience and focused on harnessing robust data collection from a CE Certified medical device.

Shimmer ECGmd is available to pre-order now as Low Voltage Device (LVD) having achieved CE and FCC certification. MDD 93/42/EEC certification, due in Quarter 1, 2019, will significantly reduce time to market for cardiac rhythm specialists and ECG medical researchers by providing medical grade ECG output from an easy to use wearable sensor.

ECGmd is not currently available as a medical device in the US or in other regions that are not covered by CE Approval.

The Shimmer ECGmd is supplied as a hardware and firmware only device, with the end user developing the user display section of the overall ECG system. The Shimmer ECGmd is certified to ISO13485, thus ensuring much of the hardware requirements for developing a medically certified ECG wireless system are in place, saving valuable development time and money. Shimmer will provide documentation to support this effort, in addition to an example user interface and integration documentation to act as a guide for developing the software interface.
